NOVEMBER 2023

LAMDA WORKSHOP PERFORMANCE

CASE STUDIO

I made a rash promise to my Classical Acting MA students at the end of a rehearsal period:

“Look, you’ve been standing up in front of me for the past five weeks.  It seems only fair that I come back and stand up in front of you.”

Thanks to those beautiful souls for being so supportive and generous.

NOVEMBER 14th 2025

THE WOODFIELD PAVILION, TOOTING COMMON, LONDON

Janet Baker… where to begin?  You’ve been with me as cheerleader, social media guru, brilliant photographer, egger on, designer of my programme, and now designer of this website!  I am absolutely blessed to have you in my life and on my side.  It all seems so much more fun in your company.

(she can be a bit bossy, but she would argue that I need a bit of bossing)

MAY 9TH 2025

SHIFNAL VILLAGE HALL, SHROPSHIRE.

Massive gratitude to my absolute blessing of a brother, Rob, and my amazing sister-in-law, Elaine. They pulled out all the stops to round up an audience, cajoling, bargaining, bullying, emotional blackmail, and, I believe, even the threat of some compromising photos finding their way into the public domain.

Shout out to the tennis club (The Roaring Racketeers), the running club (The Shifnal Shufflers), the choir (Mistresses of Melody) and the poor random neighbours who were just not quick enough making their excuses.

Wonderful hosts, as always.

Family, innit?
